Driver

  • Position Details:

    • Vehicle Requirements:

      • Your vehicle must be no older than 15 years.

      • The vehicle must pass a vehicle inspection.

      • The vehicle owner must sign and notarize a document authorizing us to add the vehicle to our insurance policy.

    • Driving Requirements:

      • Drivers must be at least twenty-one (25) years of age.

      • Drivers must have a current valid Florida driver’s license to operate the transportation vehicle.

      • A minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience is required.

      • Drivers must pass a background check and MVR check.

      • Drivers must not have more than two (2) moving violations or one (1) at-fault accident in the previous thirty-six (36) months.

      • Drivers must not have had their driver’s license suspended or revoked for vehicle traffic or moving violations in the previous five (5) years.

      • Drivers must be fully authorized to work in the United States.

    • Trip Assignments: Trips are typically assigned 1 to 2 days in advance, allowing you to preview your itinerary the day before.

    • Payment: This is an independent contractor position, and you will receive a 1099 tax form. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for covering your own vehicle expenses.

    Payment Schedule:

    • 1 to 5 miles: $8.00

    • 6 to 10 miles: $10.00

    • $1.00 per mile after 11 miles

    • Daily Average Earnings: $170.00 to $220.00 (depending on trip volume)

    Availability Requirements:

    We require drivers to be available for any of the following schedules:

    • Monday through Friday, 4:00 AM to 2:00 PM

    • Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM

    • Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM

    Please note that while availability during these hours is required, the actual start and finish times will depend on the trips assigned for the day. There are also opportunities to work on weekends if desired.

    Insurance and Safety Requirements:

    To ensure the safety of both our patients and drivers, we are required for the insurance to install cameras in the vehicles.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Medical Examination: Drivers must pass a medical examination.

    • Drug Test: Drivers must also pass a drug test.

    Required Certifications:

    To be eligible for this position, you will need the following certifications:

    • Defensive Driving Course

    • First Aid/CPR/AED Course

    • Passenger Assistance Safety and Sensitivity (PASS)
